Mandy and Leanne were very friendly and so helpful. There was a slight mixup with my two rooms (my fault) and Mandy was quick to offer solutions and fix the issue. Leanne was able to offer multiple solutions for breakfast and both helped me book my stay for next year.
We’ve been staying at this hotel every year for well over a decade, and it continues to impress us. The rooms are always spotless and spacious, and the staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and eager to help—including the GM, Zach, who is always incredible. The location couldn’t be better—you can walk to bars, restaurants, and shops with ease. After 10–15 years of visits, we’ve never had a single issue, which truly speaks to their commitment to excellence.
The website is misleading about "refined accommodations" and "curated amenities." The room my husband and I stayed in was the nicest room (Kings Corner Square View Fireplace), however, it was because of the view. It was a basic hotel with basic amenities outside of that. You can't beat the location, however, if you bring your own car, the parking garage was $18.70/day. The city of Gettysburg is particular about where you can park, how long and when. The staff was nice, however the hotel didn't offer anyone to help you with bags or anything. The price you pay for the rooms at his hotel are for the location, not the services or amenities.
I stayed at the Hotel Gettysburg, with my girlfriend, for Thanksgiving, and Black Friday. I will stress the positives of this hotel first: It's in a great location: The center of town. We could quickly walk over to restaurants, shops, and wine tasting. The Gettysburg Battlefield was only a 5 minute drive from the center of town as well. Very convenient! The hotel has ghosts. Friendly ghosts, as far as I've seen. I heard a thud in my room, and a bag of chips dropped by itself. That was as nasty as it got. I know what I heard, but I won't insist on everybody believing in the ghosts here. The hotel restaurant, One Lincoln, served us very well on Thanksgiving. Excellent drinks, and the entrees, though limited that night, were excellent as well. I did not mind giving the bar staff a generous tip for their service. Two things I think the hotel can improve on. One, I thought the hotel rooms having no small refrigerator in the rooms was inconvenient. There was nothing but a small ice bucket for us to refrigerate our drinks. Two, the heater in our room, 324, blew a lot of cold air, unless if it was cranked up to 75 degrees or more. Then when we cranked it up the heater was very noisy. It was hard to sleep with the noise! Overall, I had a good time at this hotel. I just think it needs some improvements. If I come to Gettysburg again, I'll want to stay at this hotel again. As long as the heater, or a/c works properly.
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here with our two young children. We love Gettysburg and have been visiting this location annually. Usually we try different places, but none could beat the location. My wife loves Christmas so coming here the day after New Year's was perfect. Not many guests and still decorated. We were even able to request the floor we wanted so as not to bother anyone below us. No ghostly experiences on the second floor if anyone is wondering. Just peace and quiet. It would have been 5 stars if my child didn't find a half eaten piece of food under the couch and a deodorant stick under the bed, but that's for management to take up with housekeeping. Will definitely be coming back.
Beautiful historic hotel. Staff are very friendly. The bar serves great drinks. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Parking just around the corner. Your allowed to unload your vehicle in front of the hotel. I had an awesome experience.
You can't find a better location on the circle and makes it so convenient to walk about the city. We stayed here for a 30+ group event and used the food and event space provided by the hotel. Having Starbucks connected to the hotel was really convenient, especially on the colder days. Everything met our needs and I really enjoyed my stay here.
We had a very nice anniversary weekend here. Room showed small signs of wear, but overall was large and very nice. We had a king corner view suite. The only drawback was the trashcan in the room was tiny and the housekeeper never took our trash and gave us a fresh bag. Parking is also tricky. The spaces in the lot behind it are small
